Coed Cross Country (August-October)

The season is over. Our party was a blast and well worth it for all runners who exceeded their personal best. See you next year.
I will miss the 8th graders who contributed so much over the course of these past three years. It just won't be the same without you. I hope to see you at the high school meets.
Congratulations to the runners at the Harrier Cup. Our girls took 1st overall and the boys placed 2nd. What an accomplishment. We have less than a week to go until the district meet. Please, let's work together to keep the momentum going to hold our places.
Practice for the week of October 5 will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Monday's practice had to be cancelled due to my son being sick and the rainy weather. Forcast for Thursday and Friday is calling for freezing temperatures. Dress warmly in layers for those training days. Monday, Oct. 12th, the temperature will be back up to 65 degrees. Hopefully it will stay that temperature for Tuesday, Oct 13th, the day of the district meet.
For the week of Oct. 5: Practice will be M, T, and Friday to prepare for the district meet. The Thursday practice has been changed to Friday due to conflicts with football and volleyball.
Look at the DPS website under Athletics for any meet results. Our girls did place 2nd overall at the Slaven's Invitational and the boys placed 4th. Two major meets left. Please be training on your own to prepare if you cannot make a practice.
There will be a party to celebrate the accomplishmnets of the runners. They deserve it because of their hard work and dedication.
All uniforms must be returned washed (hung dry) at the end of the season. There will be $50 charge for ones not returned attched to their account.
Practice: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 2:40pm-4pm
Fee to play: $25; students must have a physical before they can play after-school sports.
