The Honors Program

- Not an HGT center program
- A/B students
- Grouped by ability in math and language arts
- Heterogeneously grouped in science and social studies
- Some schedule customization is possible
- Honors students typically end up in the IB Program at George Washington High School and in East High's accelerated classes
- A 6th-grade Honors student will be placed in 1 of 4 math sections, depending on learning style
