Hello, my name is Gregg Heid. I began my teaching career back in the 70's while I was in the Peace Corps in Paraguay. There I taught P.E. and English; here at Hill I've been teaching math for the last 22 years, mostly to Spanish speaking students. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Colorado State in 1972. I also have a Master's Degree (1982) in Theology from Aquinas Institute of Theology and a Master's Degree (1990) in Curriculum Development from Lesley College. I received National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics in 2004 and have completed a 150 hour course through CU Denver in Master Mentoring in 2002. That same year I was a member of the Colorado Department of Education's first Mathematics Lesson Study and was chosen by the Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics as the "Outstanding Secondary Mathematics Teacher" for Region One in the state. I have been a member of Hill's ISA Team for the past eight years and am a member of the Teacher Assist Teams for the district. I have been Athletic Director at Hill for seven years and am a present member of the district's Math Leadership Cadre.
