I am looking forward to my third year at the Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining the staff at Hill, I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math in the Honors Program for four years at Place Middle School. Our daughter, Stacey, who will be a senior at East HS, attended Hill and had an excellent all-around experience that prepared her to succeed in high school.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. After 20 plus years in various corporate and consulting management positions, and as an owner of a small business, I made a career decision to invest the time and energy to acquire the necessary skills and credentials to become a public school teacher. As a result, I completed my Master of Education degree at Regis University in 2006.
I encourage you to visit my classroom and to contact me anytime you have a question regarding your student's progress. I am available to meet with you during school hours and after school, but I prefer we schedule a time in advance.
I am dedicated to doing whatever is necessary to make our students successful during their middle school years and I am committed to helping your student achieve academic excellence.
I welcome any feedback you may have regarding those things that are working to help your student be successful, as well as those that are not.
Regards, Mike Tabb
